Sports-Related Research
Becky conducted a research project with University of Minnesota student-athletes, which demonstrates the need for pharmacists on the healthcare team for athletes.

Becky met one-on-one with 10 Gopher student-athletes to conduct a comprehensive medication review (see services). From these 10 athletes alone, she found 36 medication-related problems, which are categorized under one of the following:
-
Unnecessary medication
-
Needs additional medication
-
Medication ineffective - dose too low
-
More effective medication available
-
Additional monitoring needed
-
Medication unsafe - dose too high
-
Medication unsafe - drug-drug interaction
-

Pharmacology Textbook
Becky co-authored and illustrated a textbook for the introductory pharmacology class in the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy (see below). It is a free resource to pharmacy students who have the option to donate to Arms of Love, an orphanage at which Becky has served since 2012.
Impact of Mission Trips on Future Pharmacists
Becky has been going to Jinotepe, Nicaragua every summer since 2012 to serve at an orphanage, Arms of Love. Along with her husband, Becky has led a number of teams including athletes she has coached and pharmacy students. She published a paper (see below) describing the benefits of a mission trip to future pharmacists. The College of Pharmacy also published a student profile summarizing a trip that included athletes Becky coached.
